Both ‘vSphere Distributed Switches’ have been successfully upgraded to the latest version at our Data Centres.
All services remained up during the few seconds it took to perform the upgrade, and no impacts were seen.

We will be upgrading the ‘vSphere Distributed Switch’ within vCenter at both the Hamilton and Auckland Data Centres.

While we do not expect any impact to the workloads during the upgrade, there is a possilbility that the virtual machines might experience a brief interruption to network traffic, of a few milliseconds, while upgrading the ‘vSphere Distributed Switch’ to a the new version.
We will be closely monitoring the platform and will provide additional updates as we progress through the update process if necessary.
